Word Nerds

A word nerd met a word nerd
And they met love together
Lust did join their party too
with lace and lots of leather

"Vernacular" and "scintillate"
were cried into the night
The word nerds, they lit up the sky
with words that were so bright

"Encapsulate me in your arms!"
"Embalm me in your kisses!"
The words nerds used such lovely words -
but there were near-misses:

"Awesomer" is not a word,
no matter what you think,
"Bonerific" might sound cute
but wash it down the sink.

For language is a pretty thing
that must be used with care,
some ugly words that don't exist
may catch you unaware.

So fornicate and make sweet love,
And language don't abuse!
Be forever careful of
the words you choose to use.
